Lagbaja’s
soul stirring Africano
*From his past albums- Lagbaja
(1993), Coolu Temper (1996), to WE, ME and Abami (1999),
Lagbaja has always excelled in making music that stirs the
soul and also engages the body. Ditto his latest effort,
Africano, the mother of groove, the masked musician evolved
new sounds and combined elements of pure artistry, Lagbaja
has gone one step further- grabbing you by the throat and
refusing to let go……The drums, he said are the
essence of his music.
*There are enough tracks
(12 in all) to placate rabid fans alongside crowd-pleasing
collaborations to woo new ones. His distinctive talent for
evolving new sound and groove backed by African drums, riffs
has coalesced into a compelling prospect in Africano, mother
of all groove.
*Africano will touch wherever
there is soul. Every home should have one.
